Video
The video of my implementation plan is complete, I just need to put two parts of it togetter. My kids did great having a rubric and my posters were wonderful. If I find out how to shrink a file I will try to post the pictures of my student posters. I set high expectations and they rose to the occation. I'm so excited, I will continue to use rubric as much as I can. I will say that in my larger class I had some students who allowed other student to do the work on a project and with my rubric I was able to score students evenly, allowing the students who worked hard to get a better grade on the same poster.

I think that is one of the biggest problems with rubrics and group work- how can we evaluate each of the students' individual contributions in a group project. This is really hard- I am glad that you feel that your assessment accommodated this a bit. I am also glad to hear that things have gone well- good luck with your video editing- I have opened the module that explains where to put the video- hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way on trying to evaluate group work. I used an evaluation form to help the students contribute their thoughts. Getting ready to continue my video taping and will post my reflections tonight. Glad to hear you are doing well with the project and shrinking a file, I know nothing about that.
